Los Angeles
is located between the Pacific
coast and the San Gabriel mountains with the Mojave desert beyond. To
the
west lies the Santa Monica mountains, a (relatively) smaller range.
This
range actually continues into Los Angeles, through Hollywood (the
"Hollywood
Hills") almost to downtown LA. Because of this diversity, Los Angeles
has
to have some of the most varied and scenic roads within easy reach of
the
city.
I am
compiling a series of photographs
to illustrate some of these roads, and these pages are to describe the
routes I have been enjoying for years that can be ridden on a
California Sunday.
OK, if you've come here 'cause you wanna
see some photos of
bikes and stuff, click here
so
you don't have to look for them!
Before you set
off, check out The
Pace, by Nick Ienatsch on the Motorcycle
Sport Touring Association page. Good riding tips.
